Sunrise 6:57: Autumn arrives


The autumnal equinox, one of two days of the year when the sun rises directly in the east and sets directly in the west, arrives this morning precisely at 8:44 am PDT. To the female Dawn Jogger, it's less about where the sun sets and all about the amount of daylight hours, which diminish daily. She hit the renovated White Plaza in the center of the Stanford campus shortly after sunrise this morning and was treated to some pretty pink cloud wisps. The student would prefer a more cardinal hue...
