Sunrise 7:25: Discovering Hercules

Another dark morning for the female Dawn Jogger, with some low hanging fog that prevented the thrill of a pretty sunrise. But different light - and different paths across the Stanford campus - present new surprises. She's undoubtedly passed this piece of sculpture near the B school dozens of time. But it caught her eye this morning just before dawn as it was illuminated by a spotlight. The commissioned work is called Pillars of Hercules; the sculptor is Dimitri Hadzi.
