Sunrise 7:24: California green


After the stark beauty of north central New Mexico, a bit of green was a welcome sight to the female Dawn Jogger. One field near the Stanford barn is getting quite lush. It's also home to two types of oaks, the evergreen " coastal live oak" and the deciduous "valley oak." They'd weathered the big wind storm earlier this week that the DJs had missed. Many eucalpytus on campus had not been as lucky. The days may be getting longer but the sun continues to rise later each morning...
