Sunrise 7:12: Merry Christmas from Santa Fe

Last night Santa Fe was alit with signs of the hope of Christmas: farolitos (candles in sand-filled paper bags) and luminarias (small bonfires of pitchwood). After a delicious dinner at Ristra, the Dawn Joggers and John and Julie joined the throngs on Canyon Drive on a chilly night. Today begins "The Work of Christmas" in the words of Howard Thurman:
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the Kings and Princes are holme,
When the shepherds are back with their flocks,
The work of Christmas begins.
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To teach the nations,
To bring Christ to all,
To make music in the heart.
