Sunrise 6:23: Weekly cheer up

The one thing that always cheers John Hubbard up is the weekly visit from Cassie, who stops each Sunday with the Dawn Joggers on their way to an outing. When she was a young dog, Booka (as John Hubbard is known to his family) would walk Cassie during the day, providing another outlet for the always energetic Australian Shepherd breed. He taught her a couple of commands, including a sit/stay that was followed by the reward of four dog bones. Today the ritual of the four bones continues to give Booka pleasure, even in his very frail health.
