Sunrise 6:21: Summer gold

The Dawn Joggers and Cassie made it out to Arastradero after a couple of weeks absence and were treated to clear skies and the golden hues of summer. Some of the once lush vegetation, the result of the late spring rains, had been trimmed at trail's edge, accentuating the various shades of the dried grasses. Other areas were untouched, and the thistles, now brown, remained head high. Official wildlife count netted only three deer but there was an exceptionally high number of bikers and dog walkers. All enjoying the last long days of summer.
