Sunrise 6:13: Still missing "our girl"


For 12 of her 14 years, Cassie the Australian Shepherd accompanied the Dawn Joggers on the early morning runs, mostly across the Stanford campus. Seven months after her death, both DJs continue to miss her, never more so when running solo on one or her favorite routes or a particular place where her boundless joy would be much in evidence. Roble Field, where she would "herd" the small peeping birds in the predawn light, is empty without her. The DJs think she's now running in endless green fields...
