Sunrise 6:20: Out early to the market


The nearby town of Louhans turns into an open air market every Monday - and about everything else around it shuts down. The Dawn Joggers arrived shortly after the market opened at 8:00 am and were introduced to a way of life that has been going on for centuries in this part of the world. You could buy almost anything on two feet alive but eatable (in various sizes) and quite a bit on four feet (although the female DJ doubts the llamas were there to be consumed - in fact she's not sure what the market demand is for llama in these parts.) By 10:00 am, it was almost impossible to make your way from stall to stall - and they headed back to the watermill house, early enough for the female DJ to do a loop walk to Chapelle Thecle, whose church they can hear chime on the ridge above them. The male DJ got some other good market shots...
