Sunrise 7:25: Noise in the dark

The Dawn Joggers have long observed that first light can bring with it a lot of noise. When a Blue Heron nests in their neighborhood, it's at predawn that he or she screeches upon taking flight from tree top. And what has amused the DJs most over the years is the quacking and honking that accompanies the ducks' and geese's landing in the water of Lake Lagunita (when there is a lawn). Now that the female DJ is running well before dawn, she was treated to lots of sounds on the lake this morning - and figures she could just barely make out. There was a blush of light on the eastern horizon...
