Sunrise 6:42: History tour

The Dawn Joggers explored a little corner of Kansas City this morning starting out along Brush Creek which serves as both a flood abatement and recreation area. The amount of debris and mud indicated that the creek's banks had flooded as a result of the overnight thunderstorms. Then it was up a hill ("how did we find the only hill in KC?" asked the male DJ) to an area of sizeable estates and historical civil war markers (a Confederate colonel from Arkansas was killed in hand to hand combat by a Union captain from Colorado, noted one). Things are up-to-date in Kansas City. Loose Park is rimmed with a composition jogging path, which the DJs took advantage of along two sides, making their way back to the hotel.
