Sunrise 5:59: Back to familiar territory



For almost her entire life, Cassie went around Lake Lagunita at least twice, and more often, three times a week. While the lake has varied between wet and dry years, its perimeter has remained little changed. So after a number of Sundays where they explored new paths, the female Dawn Jogger and Cassie returned to the familiar route from their house, around Lagunita and back. Cassie took the opportunity for what seemed a thousand sniffs, especially at the bottom oak trees. They spotted a big bird in the field next to the horse corral (now paddocks)...
