Sunrise 5:57: Tear 'em all down


The female Dawn Jogger decided to do a survey of her West Menlo neighborhood on her jog this morning. No news - the tear down phenomenon continues. First sign is always a fence and bright orange mesh around trees that are to be saved. She's never done any research into but the comfortable ranch homes built in Menlo, Atherton and Portola Valley in the 50s all seem to sprung from the pages of Sunset magazine, which was just starting to hit its stride during the same period. Today's homeowner is looking for something more imposing...
