Sunrise 7:13: Hard news

As the male Dawn Jogger wrote in his blog yesterday, it's not been a good week, clenched by the gut-wrenching news that his tumor is growing rather than responding to treatment. Not close to working through the disappointment, the female DJ set off just before sunrise today for a jog north on the Embarcadero, hoping to clear her head somewhat, as a good run can do. Not much luck in that regard and the the menacing sculpture near the Ferry Building was hardly a cheer up. Maybe in other circumstances the two figures would have looked like delightful sea creatures paying San Francisco a visit from the deep.
