Sunrise 7:05: Choosing the light

Because the Dawn Joggers' and Cassie's Friday run often takes them to Arastradero Perserve, they rarely visit this open space on the weekend. But today seemed like an ideal day. The skies were grey and the light nicely set off not only the oak woodland but also Windy Hill to West and Mission Peak to the East. Unlike their often noisy early mornings - lots of birds singing, coyotes howling, turkeys gobbling - it was strangely quiet. The male DJ used the light to take some arty black and white shots.
