Sunrise 7:01: Enjoying the Irish spring


The female Dawn Jogger continues to channel Ireland - helped by the Celtic tunes on her iPod Shuffle - as she heads across the golf course and around the lake. It may still be very chilly in the real Ireland, but the Bay Area at this time of year puts on a good
replica of an Irish spring. The sky stayed pinkish orange for almost her entire route this morning, framing the big crane on campus nicely. (An even keener eye might spot the three ducks who took off from the nearby grass and headed to the lake.) The morning surprise was a raccoon encountered on her way home at in a neighbor's front yard. That's late for a raccoon to be heading home...
